Servicing Action Supply customers through all channels, in-store, on the phone, fax and web, and providing solutions to their work wear, foot wear, and safety needs. Associates are responsible for servicing the customer, generating sales, merchandising, signing, overall store appearance, pricing, cash register operations (POS), housekeeping, shipping, receiving, inventory, customer returns and loss prevention. Full-Time retail associates will generally work 40 hours per week. Days and times will vary from Monday through Friday, 8am to 6pm, and Saturdays from 9am to 3pm. Based upon business demands and store traffic, average weekly hours may increase or decrease. This position is available at our Muskegon location. To be considered for this position one year of previous retail experience would be helpful. Any embroidery experience would also be helpful.

• Measure, cut, and weld bandsaw blades to customer specifications
• Inspect blades for quality, accuracy, and safety standards

• Package and label finished products for shipment or customer pickup
• Assist with inventory control and general warehouse duties as needed

Requirements:

Position Overview: We are seeking a dependable and organized individual to join our team as a Warehouse/Driver. The primary responsibilities of this role include handling warehouse duties efficiently and safely, as well as driving company vehicles for transportation purposes. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, excellent driving record, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

     Warehouse Operations:

• Receive, unload, and store incoming inventory items in designated areas.
• Ensure accurate inventory counts through regular stock checks and reconciliation.
• Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling items appropriately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Assist in conducting regular inventory audits and reporting any discrepancies.

     Driving:

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
• Follow all traffic laws and company driving policies to ensure safety on the road.
• Load and unload cargo from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securement.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, ensuring prompt and courteous interactions with clients.

     General Duties:

• Collaborate with warehouse team members to fulfill orders and meet delivery deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to coordinate daily activities.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and quality standards.
• Assist in other warehouse tasks or special projects as needed.

     Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Muskegon, MI

Full-time driver/warehouse associate position opening at a local industrial supply/safety supply store.

Position could involve driving a company vehicle, van or truck, to a customer's location and deliver the customer's order, usually to a loading dock, but not always. Position could also include filling vending machines at customer locations. When not loading the deliveries on to the truck or delivering the orders, the selected associate would also be involved with shipping/receiving product/filling orders, or other duties as they come up.

Successful candidate must be over 18 years of age, be able to perform repetitive movements, lift heavy items, have the ability to drive a forklift (training provided), have a clean driving record, and, be able to pass a drug screening and background check. Knowledge of the industrial distribution and safety supply industry is helpful but not mandatory. The successful candidate would be required to have a chauffeur's license.

Position would be for at least 40 hours per week.
